MAY FAVOURITES.

Hey everyone!
So, it's been about three months since I last did a blog post but it's been a busy few months. I have been finishing my degree and then jumped straight back into full-time work. I've literally felt so run down or I've been catching up with my friends as I have now moved back home. I'm now going to try and get back into doing my blog has I did enjoy doing it to begin with, and I do need some kind of hobby. I got my final student loan at the end of April and I did splash out a bit on a few new things, meaning that there are quite a few items that I can't wait to talk about.
Let's go!

FEBRUARY FAVOURITES.

Hey guys!
Sorry I haven't done my February favourites these past few weeks like I said I would. However I have managed to take a break from being a lazy sod or doing my dissertation, and it is finally here! I enjoy mixing my favourites around and not focus on just the beauty related products I have been loving every month. So, let's crack on with it ey?

FEBRUARY LUST LIST.

My Current Wish List

GLOSSYBOX FEBRUARY 2014: BE MINE.

So it is that time of the month again and I got this lovely treat in the post. As I was away at university when this came in the post, I FaceTimed my mum to check it out as I was too excited to wait. Both of us got excited about it really! I can't wait to try each of the products out as they are all definitely something that I will like. I think all beauty obsessed girls need to invest in the GlossyBox as it gives you a chance to test a number of amazing products out, all for a reasonable price. One of the best things about GlossyBox is that you take this kind of questionnaire that asks you what products you prefer most, your hair and skin type etc. If you do this, then you are likely to receive products that will suit you!

REVIEW: NARS SHEER GLOW FOUNDATION.

NARS Sheer Glow Foundation in Punjab.

So, it was my birthday a couple of weeks ago and the NARS Sheer Glow foundation was one of the presents I received from my parents. I have been wanting to try this foundation for months now, and I think I finally found the foundation that suits me perfectly. I have been wearing this foundation everyday since getting my hands on it. I'm in love!

H FOR HATS.

So, H for Hats is my mum's knitting page. She knits all sorts, from blankets to hats. My mum works full-time and every day that she comes home from work, she is knitting something new. It would be really great if you could check out her Facebook page and like it (click here for the link). She is currently on 276 likes and it would mean a lot if you could like the page for her. She puts a great deal of time and effort into her knitting/crocheting. She can pretty much create anything and loves to give herself a challenge. Here are a few things that she has made:

JANUARY FAVOURITES.

Some of the products that I have chosen to add into my January favourites aren't just things that I have got in January, but also items that I have started to use more this month. I didn't want to add just the beauty products I've been loving this month but I wanted to talk about the majority of the things I've been enjoying. Let's get on with it...

GLOSSYBOX JANUARY 2014: BACK TO BASICS.

I've been reading about GlossyBoxes ever since they came out, but for some reason I didn't sign up getting one every month. Ever since I decided to start writing a blog, I thought I would jump on the GlossyBox bangwagon and I'm glad that I did. This month's theme is Back To Basics. With it being the first month of the year and after the festive period, this is box is very ideal. I have learnt that there tends to be an item that catches the owners eye, but I don't see it with this months GlossyBox. I'm not complaining though as all of the items will get used nevertheless.

MY 'GO TO' HEELS.

I'm not the kind of girl who owns a lot of pairs of heels. I usually wear the same heels on a night out, as they go with everything and comfort is also key! I really struggle to find a pair of heels that are both nice and comfy but these pair of heels definitely tick all of the boxes. The main reason that comfort is important to me is because I have over-pronantion. Over-pronantion is where the ankles force the foot to fall inwards, so I do suffer from aching ankles at times. The strap is brilliant in terms of supporting my ankles. I struggle to walk in some pairs of heels, especially ones that have no straps because they make me lose balance (my heels are telling me that I need to be stood up straight but my ankles are saying otherwise) and they make my feet/ankles really hurt. It's really important that I have a good pair of heels as I can't wear my insoles to help support me. People look at me when I wear these heels and ask "how can you walk them?" As you can see, the platform is high and thick. This means that there is not much height difference between the actual heel and the platform. They are literally the best pair of heels I have ever owned. I bought them from TopShop for £55 (I think). I would definitely recommend a pair of heels that are like this style, they stay on your feet all night! Another reason that these heels are so good because they add a good few inches to my little 4 ft 11 in body.

MAC LIPSTICK COLLECTION.

In the past year, my love for MAC lipsticks just keeps growing. The fact that they have so many different shades is not helping my obsession. I have at least 10 MAC lipsticks and I thought I would give you a post on my lipsticks, because I love them so much. I believe that this is a popular blog post but MAC have so many different shades in lipsticks, so everyone is different! I find the lipsticks that have a matte finish are the best for me. They last much longer than the others, and they don't fade as much when you've had a drink. Let's crack on, shall we?

SOME GOOD READS.

The Kindle App is one of the best apps I have on my iPad. You can get a variety of amazing Kindle books from Amazon for such a good price (even the books that are only 59p are able to get you hooked). Once I'm stuck into a book, I can't get out of it. Sometimes I will just like to shut off from the world and just sit down with a brew and read a book. You know a book is a good one when you can't put it down. I am going to recommend a number of books that I have recently read, with little descriptions but not giving too much away.

I love sitting down with a good book and a cup of green tea.

MY WEEKEND BEAUTY BAG.

As I'm at university, I tend to travel a lot. I come home every other weekend to work, so it is essential that I have a beauty bag (my make up is usually stored in acrylic drawers). I try to pack lightly but this never ends up how I hoped it would. When it comes to packing my weekend bag, I think to myself that I should only pack what I need to pack. As I come home to work, I don't really need to pack that much but who knows if I spontaneously decide to go for a night out. So that encourages me to put anything in my make up bag/weekend bag. I recently got myself a bargain with this Ted Baker Make Up bag off eBay, and I have to say I love it! Just so you know, I don't use all of these products at once. I like to change it up a bit! Before you say anything, yes I am a massive MAC Cosmetics lover.

“Make-up can only make you look pretty on the outside but it doesn’t help if your ugly on the inside. Unless you eat the make-up.”

The words from a truly inspirational woman, Audrey Hepburn.

This is my first ever blog post, and to be honest I have no idea where to start. I’m in my final year of university studying Policing, Investigation and Criminology. Creating this blog is probably not the best time as I have a great deal of work to do, but I’ve been thinking about this for a long time! You could be thinking, “why is a girl who wants to be a policewoman creating a beauty blog?” In all honesty, I am very passionate about beauty and a variety of products. Even though beauty and crime work are at different ends of the scale, they are two of the things I am most passionate about in life. There is a chance that I may create posts that are related to my university course, fashion, health, whatever. This blog could focus on anything, but it is mainly aimed at beauty. I have been thinking about creating a beauty blog for a couple of years now but have always thought against the idea because of what I am studying. On the other hand, why shouldn’t I try it? So here goes!

My motivation for creating this blog came from adding up my beauty products. Considering I’m supposed to be your stereotypical “poor student” the majority of my money does not go on food and university necessities, but it goes on anything beauty related. A lot of people who know me will know how obsessed I am. What can I say, I love beauty! A lot of the time I am giving my friends advice on what make up products they should use based on their skin tone and skin type, and it gives me such a thrill. I usually have girls coming up to me and asking me what products I use, and that also gives me such a buzz! I could talk for hours about a certain product, and that is the reason as to why I have created this blog.

For now, I am going to keep my gob shut from those around me until I feel confident enough to say “guys, check out what I’ve been up to recently”.

Fingers crossed, ey?!
